Re: Daily report in Global
I'm having the same issue. I called the help desk and of course the foreigner I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. I ended up e-mailing them screen shots of the error message. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for them to fix it

Re: KEY CODES
We charge $75.00 to cut a key from a code plus the price of the key. We NEVER give out a key code.

Re: Am I stupid?
I have been in this business for over 40 years (mostly GM) and I’ve been a parts manager since 1985. I work for a wonderful dealer at a very busy Chevrolet store. I can tell you that GM has really gone downhill. Their policies are terrible, the logistics completely unreliable and we have no real ...

Re: dealertrac
Dealer Trash? Horrible. The people who first showed up to train us all got fired because of their egregious incompetence. Also our gross profit numbers took a nose dive as soon as we changed from Reynolds to this abortion of a DMS.

Re: fees for cutting keys
We are in the Chicago metro area. We charge $75.00 to cut a key by code. We require the title and a valid Illinois driver's license. If the customer is making payments, we have them contact their lean company and have them fax the title to us. In 2019 we made just under $12,000.00 in key code charges.

Cost Changes
Okay, so we ordered a steering gear on September 5th and just received it today, March 10th.
Our counter man called the wholesale customer and miraculously, they still want it. The problem is we called the gut before looking closely at the packing slip. GM changed the part number from: 22777702 cost ...

Re: Switching to DealerTrack from Reynolds.
I would abase myself in a number of twisted ways if we could go back to Reynolds & Reynolds. I'm nearing retirement and I fear because of Dealer Track I may end up in a padded room, wearing a straight jacket before then.

Re: Switching to DealerTrack from Reynolds.
We switched from Reynolds to Dealer track last December so it’s been a year. The crew who came in to train us was the most incompetent bunch of idiots I’ve ever had to deal with. We were told later that they were all fired. Anyway, the “parts deposit” feature is a nightmare from hell, so much so, we ...

Re: KEY CODES
Our crappy key machine is terrible at duplicating keys. Many times people already have a key and they just want an extra one so we check the cuts and use the key code to make the key. In this instance, the customer is not required to show an I.D.
