Re: What Caused Your Pad to GL Variance?
As we have a variety of professionals on this forum I feel a thought starter was in order. My very first physical inventory was over to the tune of $46,000 and after a few sweat soaked days I was able to get DMS reporting, finding the owners newest toy was entered into the parts inventory. This ...

Re: WASTE MY TIME ASKING FOR INFO
I fought that for years. And I know it has to be worse now. This can get into a liability issue if you give the wrong number based on the info the customer gives you. He buys it someplace else and if it caused injury or damage he can try to come back at you. Some times I may have come down with ...

Re: Ownership change
The last one I was involved with the buying store was partially owned by Chrysler. I submitted a list and then had a meeting with some Chrysler reps. They questioned some of the items but all in all it was a good return.

Re: Ownership change
I went through several in the past. Always stayed with the new owners. It can be good for the parts dept in the fact that you should be able to do a buy/sell parts return. Sure helps in keeping a clean inventory.

Re: Sales Loyalty
So when you bill it out this way it doesn't affect sales loyalty?
Sales loyalty is looking at how much after market crap you are putting on GM cars. As long as you are billing out a GM recognized part number on a GM car you should be ok.... Now, how much BG/Granitize crap (snake oil in a can ...

That last post sounded like most of my days for many years. Clear down to the damned license frames. Glad to be retired for 10 years/
