I may be REALLY old school, but I was never a fan of selling a part number that I DIDN'T add to the system. I always wanted to capture and track ALL history and demand. During a demo that we had recently, I was kind of surprised. We looked at an "Aging" report that showed the 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, and OVER 12 buckets.

We have that report now, in all of our stores, but in our GM stores, we add an extra 13-15 bucket, because of their RIM returns.

As an enterprise that has an external data warehouse, it's trickier, as when Name Consolidation is run, and History is rewritten, some things in our data warehouse do not update completely.
