Honda and Reynolds
I seem to recall awhile back, might be 5-6 years ago there was some sort of interface to post your backorders and referrals. I am fairly certain I had it at my last Honda dealership. I recently became the temporary manager at our Honda store. When I got here the previous PM seemed to remember this ...

Re: Days Supply
What are you looking at, too much width or too much depth? Two different animals. Depth, you need to work with what the manufacturer gives you. I would, of course work on it by age. Now if the problem is width, you probably need to visit your "days supply" settings. I inherited a bloated inventory a ...

Re: Delete status -CDK
Okay a little off subject here, but.... Why not add aftermarket parts to the system? I got tired of having techs stand around waiting for a used car oil filter. I started putting them in the system, in their own source. Built up some history and started stocking them. I did the same thing with wiper ...

Re: gm parts catalog
I ran mine Friday, USB drive. The update took less time than I thought it would, maybe a couple of hours. So far the catalog is working fine, I don't have to close it out and restart it 2 or 3 times a day like I did. The automatic update is not working though. I am getting the "Update fail error ...

Re: Been on Dealersedge.com Forum 20 Years
Wow! I just checked, I've been here 19 years. Except for a couple of years that I went to the dark side (service), I too have looked in almost every day. I too have been helped many times by this forum. I echo Parts007 appreciation for the knowledge acquired.

Re: KEY CODES
$15 for code look up + $25 laser cut (if needed),+ the price of the key.
Also another $80 for service to program if needed.
I have been contemplating increasing the Laser cut key price since we are the only player in 60+ miles. ;)
We had a difficult time spending the $$ on the laser cutter. But ...

Re: double selling.
As far as billing freon. I know some managers that put it in inventory, bill it on the RO, and then bill the shortage to service. Your previous manger may have been doing this. It usually does have to billed out for warranty repairs, or you may risk losing the entire claim. You will probably never ...

Re: Tekion DMS Review
I have always put an over-ride in to show "Book Retail" on wholesale invoices. That is the price they are generally reimbused on. I am puzzled as to why you would want your matrix price showing as list on a wholesale invoice.

Re: What Caused Your Pad to GL Variance?
Thanks for reminding me. I had a previous PM leave me an 8 year supply of a Honda drain plug washer. I'm sure there are still some on the shelf.
