Here in Ohio they don't count aftermarket warranty repairs.

Re: Parts Inventories
I did post this on Reddit. Overall, it seems to be 2% with discounts or addons depending on how well the inventory was prepped. I appreciate all of the input.

Parts Inventories
It's been many, many years since I have used an outside inventory company. Would anyone mind sharing how much they run these days?
Thanks,

Is it possible to have her email the quotes to you? That pretty much eliminates he said/she said.

Re: ADI and changes
I am also being told that we will now be receiving partial LPO orders. Currently we don't get the LPO's until the order is complete. How are you guys handling partial LPO orders? How are you tracking those and who contacts the customer to get them back in when a vehicle is delivered with missing LPO ...

ADI and changes
Our ADI announced today that they are moving to a "NetSuite", which involves them no longer sending invoices along with the parts, they will be sending a packing slip, and we will have to match them up after us printing them. I am being told that Michigan and Chicago are already on this program. Can ...

Dealertrack and Stocking Groups
For the sake of this discussion, I am going to refer to STOCKING GROUPS as "Sources" just like they do in the CDK and R&R world. In CDK when I quote or sell a tire that is new to my system, I have PMU set up so that it is automatically added to source 8 (my tire source), same with Accessories, they ...

Re: UNUSED LPO'S
Our GM understands the gravity of not having ALL LPO's installed, so he is on-board with all 3 departments (Sales, Service, and Parts) being held responsible for ensuring that they end up on the vehicle. I have put one or two in the Sales managers office. Our society is becoming more and more ...

Re: Small Dealer Inventory
PushIt,
I would suggest going into CDK Service connect and do a search on "General Motors Auto-Truck Combined (GK) Parts Pricing Facts Sheet". This sheet will give you an idea as to what sources GM is figuring you are putting your parts into. I see no parts in source 107 (ACCESSORIES) or 108 (TIRES ...

Re: Small Dealer Inventory
I didn't make it clear that the reason I use source 8, is because if you look on the CDK GM(GK) Facts Sheet you will see that the price tape is set to put any part that GM sees as a tire in source "8". Similarly, accessories are placed by the price tape into source "5", which when set up properly ...
