Just wondering if others spiff the advisors on parts and other services and what dept pays?
IE: CP parts sales they get a certain percent and does it come from the parts transfer to service or does parts pay it?
Tires they get a certain $ per tire

Re: New Store/ 8 years GM exp
That in theory sounds like it would work but in practice it does not.
I bet those parts have been there a very long time, if they have been written off get rid of them.
Your time is worth more $$$ trying to grow and actually sell parts rather than trying to scrape up pennies on parts that have aged ...

Re: RIM and Obsolescence
Total Inventory Value $485 000
Protected RIM Value (get from RIM website) $210 220
Unprotected RIM Value (") $158 056
Parts no sale over 12 months $28 609
First off RIM does not calculate my total inventory correctly.
I just listed everything over 12 as my DMS month end does not break it out that ...

Re: Sold parts back in stock/inventory? What do you do with
Rule for me: If it was not ordered as stock it gets returned, even if we stock it. If we still need one it can be stock ordered.
Nothing that is CSO ordered should be on the shelf, unless it is backordered or a recall.

I sell at a loss and when the BTC money comes in it goes against wholesale cost of sale.
This way i still show that gross on my wholesale line where it belongs.

Re: Snap-On Catalog PC Upgrade
Why would writes/rewrites have anything to do with SSD?
A conventional hard drive would be at a disadvantage to SSD.
SSD speed capability is much higher and they do not suffer from fragmentation.

Re: Crazy Special Order System
I find R&R worse that ADP but what they are doing sounds like a cluster ** even a card system would be better.
Yea they should be ordering everything on an invoice, work order or appointment, then at the end of the day in ignite you go into:
Tools, special entry, post individual orders and this ...

Re: Likely going to R&R after 20 years with ADP
My thing is how much faster Reynolds is than ADP. My experience with ADP was frustrating, I found it to be slow, too many windows and overall cumbersome. The few things Reynolds may not have is more than a fair trade for speed and ease of use in my opinion. But after 15 years, I'm a Reynolds ...
