Re: Battery Price Update
Retired now, but if my memory is correct they used to claim it was because they didn't sell batteries, AC/Delco did.

Re: GM GOES TO BED WITH JUNKYARD
Retired 49 year parts manager, last 46 of it with GM. Years of fighting with service departments wanting to install used parts and these boneheads hand it to them on a silver platter. Those of you still dealing with GM, I bet you won't get a bye on your loyalty percentage. Cunningham Bros. website ...

Re: Sales Loyalty
Use the GM part number on your vendors invoice and over ride the cost. Worked fine on Dealer Track. Don't add any prefix or suffix such as R for reman.

It's more than messed up. I believe it is against EPA regulations to re-charge and send a vehicle out with a known leak. You are supposed to evacuate the system if it can not be repaired. I find it hard to believe that someone from GM would even suggest doing that ! (Unless GM means General Manager)

Re: Credit Upon Shipment?
I have used it ever since it became available. I use it for RIM returns and my own monthly returns. If my memory serves me correctly it is not meant for cso,
damage, or shipped in error returns. You get your credit the next day. I also fax my field scraps to the PDC and get next day credit on those ...

Re: T4F Headlamp Swap on ATS-V
I would stay away from that, at least as far as not doing it in your service dept. The reason Partec wont help on this kind of thing is for liability issues. Lighting on vehicles has to meet D.O.T. safety standards and you would be modifying the lights even though you are using OEM parts, there may ...

Re: Material return, core credit ? search
The best way is to match your invoices up with your packing slips and returns. If you are the parts manager, in my opinion, YOU should be the one printing parts invoices, reviewing them for accounting, and matching them up with packing slips and return paperwork BEFORE the accounting people get ...

Re: IS THIS FOR REAL?
Sounds to me like somebody outside the dealer level hacked into key records somewhere. We can only access one VIN at a time through Global, it doesn't seem possible for someone at the dealer level to pull enough codes to affect eight years of production !
