Data extraction troubles with Arkona to excel. We can pull data and drop into excel, but unable to use many excel functions with the (=if example). Been an excel user for yrs, not sure what we are doing wrong.

I would make sure that the numbers are being brought into excel as numbers instead of text. I have had to do this with any of the reports coming from GM.

The following is how I do it:
Method 3: Use Paste Special with Multiply
To use this method, follow these steps:
In any blank cell, enter the value 1.
Select the cell in which you typed 1 and click Copy on the Edit menu.
Select the cells with the values that you want to convert to numbers.
On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
Under Operation, click Multiply. Under Paste, click Values, and then click OK.

We have run across an issue with blank spaces after the part number in Arkona messing up Excel. If you select a part number you will see a bunch of spaces in the field display at the top that show the cursor way past the part number.

If Gerrys suggestion does not fix the problem I can recommend an easy way to eliminate the spaces.

One of the new print features on many reports is an 'Output' prompt. Many reports can now email themselves to you in word, excel or PDF formats.
