Anyone have any suggestions and/or ideas on how to increase floor traffic for New Car Vehicle sales?
Yes we advertise, but am interested in other ideas and/or suggestions.
All input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Partsman

Are you using a inhouse CRM product?

start with pulling lists from service files and have sales start prospecting:
1. service customers who didn't buy their car from you but have had it serviced in last six months
2. service customers who bought from you (sorted by salesperson) and have been in service within last six months
3. Service Customers who you sold who have never been in for service

Pick the appropriate year range, and the makes/models of for who you want to target. This could be targeting good trades or those who own a car that are good prospects for vehicles you have good deals or plenty of product.

Let me know if you need some help

Partsman -

I would work with the lenders who finance your customers - get a mailing list of loans within 6 months of their loan maturity.

If you are not already, I would sign up with a reputable secondary finance company and work with them on a direct mail program/invitation only sale. Target customers in your trade area with appropriate credit scores.

If you have trucks, I would hire a professional telemarketer to call small businesses in your area, soliciting them for a new vehicle. A good, professional telemarketer can generate a tremendous number of strong prospects.

Finally, I would call every person with a car for sale in the local classified ads. A good percentage of them are selling their current car in anticipation of buying a new one.
