Hello Everybody
We had thoughts of giving customers a tin/jar of candy/cookies etc as a thank you gift. Anyone had any experience with this or can recommend a company?
Thanks

I make a habit of sending gifts to my parts customers for XMAS. Would be a great idea for service dept. As Trump says in the office depot commercial you are thanking them for there future business as well as their past business

There are a bunch of companies in this business. Two we've written about in Dealers Edge are Consumer Care Corp. and Fresh Beginnings.
Go to
www.nada.org and search the list of convention exhibitors (by product category) under "CSI."

we either send gift cards to our customers or if possible, treat them to a breakfast buffett.
Also, we're open Christmas Eve for half a day in Fixed Ops and we cook breakfast for those who are in for service work or shopping for a vehicle.

Everyone likes to go to the movies. I recommend a 4-pack of movie passes with popcorn and small soda or a $50 gift card if the purchase is large enough. A single movie pass is good for smaller jobs. It's not that expensive and you'll be remembered. My eye doctor does this for my annual eye exam, and it's great to get those gift certificates in the mail with his thank you note after I dropped a few hundred dollars!

We use a company called "Thank You Plants" we send live plants to customers - they love em. Cost is about $21 delivered, the company also send a reply card (stamped) with a simple section that asks for comments. You'd be surprised what they say.
