Cadillac Custom Express Delivery

Cadillac Custom Express Delivery

Now that we are entering a new year, I have a proposal.

If you are a Cadillac dealer, you have been experiencing the CXD system of product distribution. There's a charge to using CXD, about $235 per car PLUS another $150 that was packed into the invoice (also notice you delivery charge increased). The charge was to cover some of the expense of getting the car your customer wants delivered to the dealership in less than a few weeks. They also used to promise some overnite deliveries, remember that?

Well, if you are like us, you have been running mostly under 'allocation' where someone in Detroit decides what product you get and when you can get it. I also have been told that starting tommarrow, all Cadillacs are under allocation.

My feelings are that the CXD charge should be permanently suspended and that an 'adjustment' be made to the invoice bringing things back to where they were BEFORE CXD. Hey, why should we pay for a service that will never be delivered?

comments?
