AUTOSOFT SYSTEM

We recently changed from ADP to Autosoft as our DSP. We are not sure we did the right thing! Does anyone have an encouraging word to say about how this system has worked out for them, I would really appreciate hearing it. I have been involved in three conversions and this has by far been the most frustrating. Overall, it seems to be a good system but lacks some of the features we have come to depend upon. I have spent some limited time with an Autosoft system and from a parts aspect I was totally disappointed. I contacted the AutoSoft support people to try and find out how the system worked and if I could do anything independantly (create my own type of reports) and found out that the dealer would have to purchase another module to accomplish some of that.

The dealer informed me also that AutoSoft had configured his F&I system incorrectly and he sold two cars and lost over $2000 when in actuality he thought he had made $2400 per copy. His office manager brought that to his attention.

Based on what I saw, it is better than no system at all but it really suffers when it comes to ADP, ERA, and UCS. Maybe with time.....
