Incentives and giveaway pricing

I am so tired of GMs Wagoner talking about incentives and their value in selling cars during tough times. It reminds me of a weak salesperson that thinks that invoice selling makes him a closer. Value in the product sells units and makes gross. I know this guy has never actually sold a car. Otherwise he would not give up the farm to do so.
I am also worn out with Managers at stores thinking they have to give up every penny to get someone in on theie ad. A more creative ad and more creative managers are needed. Not give-away pricing!
It is time to get back to selling value. Leave some meat on the bone for the salesman to make a buck. You can always come down to make your deal but it is impossible to go up.And quit blaming it on the internet.Whew!!!Give me a break.
