We are a very large multi-franchised, multi-companies auto group looking at ADP. I must say that I have been a R&R user for 14 yrs now and need help. I know that ADP does not utilize model#/gl account# links with their system. Has anybody found inputting deal information into the journal difficult? Any other thoughts between the two would be greatly appreciated. I have already gone through one bottle of Tums thinking about this.

Actually,
With VMS (Vehicle Mgt system) each model-line default is 'tied' to a sale account and an inventory account.
This default will be assumed but can be changed when you post the car deal.

I'm sure your head is swimming with 'what ifs' and 'how will I handle this' scenarios. Relax, you'll find a way to do virtually everything you're doing now and some nice features that you didn't have before.

Check out the replies I received when I posted a similar query in October (you'll have to boost the "show topics from" up to 100 days to see the posts). I got a lot of good feedback. The responses actually caused my dealer to back away from ADP and stick with Reynolds.

Good Luck

We currently use PBS. Which is based out of Canada. We've been using them since the summer of '99. You would be suprised with what it could do for your dealership.
