We are doing our annual adjustment to pass on our health insurance increase. Before determining how much to pass on, I thought I would get a few other opinions or practices. We pay part of the individual employee and part of the family (for those who need family). In all we pay a hair over 60% of the total premium. I used to try to pay around 50%, but last year I jacked up the deductibles ($2000 ind/$8000 fam) and co-pay (80/20) by quite a bit but also took a higher percent of the total premium in exchange. What I would like to know is this...
What percentage of the total health insurance premium do you pay for your employees?
As I said, mine is just above 60%. I don't need much detail, just a quick idea. I would appreciate it. Thanks.
