Just curious (because I know its very different for other makes) for GM dealers, what % of your new vehicle sales were a vehicle you traded for? Ours seems to be very high, especially as of late.

I have been curious too....YTD 2007 we are 32%.

Dealer trades are directly related to the inventory that an individual store is ordering. If you are DXing a majority of vehicles within your market area it then becomes a market capture issue, and a sales training issue. If you are doing a majority of DXing out of your market area, you may be able to view the market they are going in to sample the advertising approach and mimic the market condition raising your own volume level.
