Lost Sales Reporting in R&R

Lost Sales Reporting in R&R

Postby Magpie » Thu Jul 19, 2001 7:23 pm

Does anyone have a Report Generator
written to show lost sales posted by
counterperson in the 2021 or 2525
screen? R&R's canned lost sales report
is inadequate, to say the least.
Thanks!

Lost Sales Reporting in R&R

Postby petepuma01 » Fri Jul 20, 2001 8:01 am

Look back several posts-- There is post from 12/29/00 by Neil H concerning this question. In a reply, RBickley posts a report generator Setup that should give you what you need.

However, keep the following things in mind:

1) Lost sales recorded in 2021 or the Q screen of 2525 will not have a counterperson # associated with them since this is not entered in those screens.

2) To help alleviate the problem above, port # is on the report setup. If your counterpeople always use the same terminal, the port # should help identify who did what lost sale.

3) Related to item 2-- if you don't use serially connected terminals (you use pseudo ports or network connections), the port # field wont help since a different port is assigned every time someone logs in to a network port.

4) The report setup uses the PROD.HIST file which is current month activity only. If you wish to look at previous months, you can keep the same report setup-- just use the appropriate PRH.#### file where the #### represent the month an year. For example, if you wanted to report on May 2001, you would choose the PRH.0105 file.

If this report setup does not meet your need, let me know what is missing and I'll see if I can get something closer to your needs.

Lost Sales Reporting in R&R

This is a late post, but here is a report I use for daily lost sales. CounterPerson enters Ctr# in 2525
enter lost sale part, with a transaction code of "L"
Remember the rules for PROD.HIST,
you can only see the current month, if you want to see prior months,
use PRH.0107 (July 2001), PRH.0106 (June 2001)and so on in FILE NAME.
There are a few network printing issues when using the print button in R&R,
If you are using a PC with ERA link and the print button,
you can modify the lines with "enter start date" and "enter ending date"
use the real date formats: MM/DD/YY
if you have questions, feel free to E-mail.
