Mark,
One of the advantages of the internet has typically been the ability to "make a statement" but to make it anonymously. If I am discussing innocuous issues, such as music or sports, I find that valuable. In this forum people are making statements that can have a negative affect on our fellow Parts Managers careers. We are offering advice here based on our previous experiences, I back my advice up with my experience and my name. There have been issues that I have brought up with my superiors, that I have relied on this board for guidance and support, and I must admit I feel much better doing this when I am fully comfortable about who is offering the guidance and support. Honestly, if you are trying to make a point with your boss, wouldnt you rather show your boss a posting by someone named Mark Vandersteeg then say someone named the psicodelic (my normal screen name) or some other silly screen name.
