Amazon is great, but unless they're an official, authorized reseller (Amazon isn't, though the Amazon Marketplace seller may be), ACDelco isn't going to honor the warranty. It's the customer's responsibility to handle their purchase through the original reseller. Here is GM Accessories Center's return policy: amazon dot com/gp/aag/details?ie=UTF8&asin=B000EQR7XS&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=AJ9CIU5THEQQB&sshmPath=returns#aag_returns
And it's not the ACDelco policy. Everything needs to be handled through them. I'd simply refer the customer to the original seller.
I buy a ton of stuff on Amazon, I love my Prime membership, and unless it's actually SOLD by Amazon, then I don't expect any support. For example, I plan on buying my control arms (MOOG) from Amazon, because not only are they $30 cheaper each, the shipping is free. Even if I have to eat one because it goes bad, I still come out ahead.
