If you receive a part that is not yours in the delivery do you try and let the correct dealer know you have it or just recycle it. We try and contact the dealer that should have got it, that way if they need it they can come and get it. Just a courtesy call is nice, it seems it is usually the part you need like yesterday.

Yeah, we do that and all the dealers on our route do the same

We always try to contact the dealer it belongs to. However, there are two bigger dealers on the route before us that make little to no effort to contact me when my parts arrive on their dock.

Btw, PartsPlant81, thank you. I did contact my DMA, who then contacted Crystal Stults at the Cincinnati PDC, who created a special return. I am awaiting paperwork. Now I've jumped through 20 hoops to get money back for something I should have NEVER had to jack with in the first place. Good times...

No problem. And we deal with the same thing here; larger dealer gets our parts by mistake they rarely call. We always call when we receive other dealers parts because we are a smaller dealer.
