Can a core still be returned to GM if the part is disco?

If I purchase a discontinued transmission from another dealer that has it in stock, does anyone know if the core will still be returnable to GM?


atleast it's only a $350 core instead of 700 or 1000 but I don't want to eat it anyway

I think you can. I'm not 100% sure. If nothing else you could return it to that dealer since they will show a record with GM that GM owes them the core.

Extend the cost of the core to the customer. Tell them IF and WHEN you get it back you will give them the charge back.
