So has anyone filed a new Saturn Key to get it to fit inside the door? If so, did it mess up the way it fits into the ign cylinder?

No, but it shouldn't. These are "tip stop" keys, not shoulder.

Possum you are correct! Here is a picture of a new key inserted all the way into a new ign lock cylinder. It does not bottom out on the shoulder!

They've updated the work instructions for 14113(A) and 14133(A) to include the key shoulder mods

Thanks. I managed to find it today when I realized we had an Ion booked in at 8 this morning. It worked like a charm.
