Business Choice - GM question

Business Choice - GM question

Postby Zep33 » Thu Sep 25, 2014 2:46 pm

I've got a saleswoman wanting me to order a bedliner under the Business Choice program. I told her that is something handled completely by sales and the sales manager is telling her that parts orders it.

I'm 110% positive that sales handles their own Business Choice stuff, just like LPO.

It's been quite a while since anything has arrived here marked Business Choice so I'm thinking the sales manager just forgot how that program works

Unless something has changed in the last year, I am correct right?

the customer gets an allowance up to a certain amount i.e $1000 and we order the part, we bill against the vehicle and sales dept makes the claim for the amount. process changed this year.

last8please is correct. Business customers get an allowance of $400 for 1/2 ton and $1000 for 3/4 and 1 ton. The allowance is based on MSRP for the accessories. We bill everything on an internal against the vehicle. Sales files claim for money. Credit is received on open account and reconciled.

Yup, unlike LPO's, Parts department actually makes money on business choice. The more the merrier.

And some of the new stuff does NOT qualify. If it's made and warrantied by a 3rd party, chances are they WILL NOT pay for it. Just a heads up, we had a few reject the chrome hood guards made by the 3rd party.
