pay plan

How does your pay plan work, and have you gotten a "raise"? Seems like most of the day is spent making pennies on recalls.

2k base plus 6% profit.

Mine is 2k base plus 5% gross and 10% net. Haven't had a raise since I started here 4 1/2 years ago. I have taken a pay cut due to the accounting office paying off of WIP for 20+ years and discovering their error, I have had Saturdays added to my schedule by the new GM, had to go down to 1 counter person making vacations and days off extremely difficult and then they hired a Service and Parts Director but didn't change me being paid off net. So....yeah.

Is that 2k base monthly or weekly?

My base is for the month also. So 15k gross profit only gets $900 added to the base. I would like a raise but it's set up fairly, just not enough business these days to make that much. cville you get 10% of net sales added? that would be 5k more added to my check :?

4k month plus 9% gross. I received a raise 2 years ago. It's time to renegotiate. In that time, I have inherited 2 other stores to inventory and do monthly consults. That makes 6 stores that the owners have me
monitor. I do get 100.00 per each monthly visit to each store plus 300.00 for each inventory. I hate this time of year.

Mine works. Weekly base plus percentage of shop hours, total parts sales and fixed net. My base is more than half of total so its predictable, and that way I have a decent "guarantee" even if we have a short month. However business has been up since we had a personnel "revision" in service and nothing to complain about here. We're setting records for parts sales, shop hours and fixed coverage so everyone from the top down is smiling. Get this... My GM told me a few months ago that the parts employees don't make enough... and we fixed that. :)

I work on a fully commissioned basis and wouldn't have it any other way. My owners know I am in the same boat as they are: when he makes more money so do I, and we always make more money!

Straight salary. Same every week no matter how well/poorly we do. They know I will work just as hard either way. They did "give" me a second demo instead of commission but that was a reward for special circumstances.

My net is 10% of net gross, so it adds a decent chunk if the month is ok.
