Email pic to place order!

Email pic to place order!

Postby jdpetey » Fri Dec 19, 2014 2:35 am

Get this.

Called SPAC today to find out what it would take to order a particular wheel for a GMC that was on National Control and was informed that I would have to take a pic of the 'damage /defect' on the wheel before the order could be placed for us VIA EMAIL!

Unbelievable. Pretty obvious that we're all incompetent out here and they have special eyesight that can see the damage/defect that is invisible to the petty folks out there at the dealerships.

About the most assinine thing I've seen in 25 years, aside from GM's handling of recalls as of late.

PS-Forgot to mention stock was available at our local PDC. Could have completed tomorrow if BS wasn't the Standard of Service.

I had to do the same thing a while back for a Volt charger on national control that was damaged in a wreck. I was like, yeah, ok, whatever.

Back in Chrysler days, we had to include a picture on EVERY water pump and steering gear we replaced under warranty. They told us that if it wasn't dripping to leave it until it was customer pay. I can see this coming from GM pretty soon.

We needed two Enclave wheels, and they made us order them on CSO-3 and pay the extra charges. I was told by SPAC and our DM the charges were to deter dealers from ordering them for stock and hogging them up. How many of you are hoarding wheels at $785 net each?
