Ideas for employees/incentives

Postby bobdavis2010 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 4:09 am

Hay guys-gals, looking for ideas for incentives for my employees, Our GM doesn't want to give raises for 2015 any ideas ? I have 3 parts advisors that are pretty awesome at what they do, I figure putting some Incentives on the table would help compensate a raise in a sense. Thanks guys and gals.

I'm curious to see the replies too. I have 2 solid counter men that have been here 25 years and haven't had an hourly wage raise in 8+ years...

I only have one idea since it appears any performance based raises are probably out of the question. Have a contest for expense reduction, submit any idea that can help reduce expenses in the dealership or your department specically. Give them the support they need to investigate the expense-vendor invoices, monthly billing statements , blah blah blah. Give the employees 20 %- 50 % of the yearly savings discovered if their idea is implemented. They need to do all the work though, well written strategy and implementation and cost savings discovered... you would be surprised what they can find sometimes. Maybe they find a cheaper vendor for forms, or a trick to lower your electricity bill or they discover a problem with the uniform company invoice and end up saving the company thousands a year-give them a good chunk of the savings for the first year. Just a thought that I would think most owners or general managers would be crazy to give you resistance to saving them money.
