MORE on the Durapack screwing....

Here's a note made by a parts manager in a New England store that he sent to his GM rep-

I don't know if you saw bulletin# G_000206842 that came out today. They are getting rid of the Durapack program. I would email your dealers and suggest they throw an extra order in tomorrow to make sure they get the 6.75% discount. The bulletin states that they are going to family pricing (and making it seem like a win for the dealers) but most of the pricing is actually going up.

Example:

LD GM can: $3.11 (only 3 numbers are going down in cost the rest are going up)

LD GM cartridge $3.76 (3 are going down 1 is staying the same)

LD non-GM can $2.83 (only 7 numbers are going down in cost the rest are going up)

Air filter Durapack prices decreased by a weight average of 3.4% (On the Durapack program we earned 6.75%)

Fuel filter Durapack prices decreased by a weight average of 1.3% (On the Durapack program we earned 6.75%)

Interesting. GM once again makes it seem like they did the dealers a favor, but in reality they put the boots to us.....AGAIN!
