Ac delco 6yr pro rate?

Took over as parts manager over two years ago and have my first pro-rate warranty an a 78-6yr. Do you get these batteries paid from a warrany work order? My service manager doesn't know how to get it paid. Also the customer paid for installation the first time.

Your battery distributor makes the adjustment. Give them the in-service date and a copy of the original receipt and they will figure the pro-rate replacement price. We usually just mark that up 10% if at all, depending on the customer. There is no labor covered after 12 mos. If it was customer pay, dealer installed originally, the replacement gets all of the new warranty of the current 78PS @ 30 months free. We might do at most 2-3 warranty adjustments per year on Delco batteries and sell hundreds.

If you need to claim one within the first 12 months after initial installation in the shop, we run those though service just like any other GM part and claim labor too.
