G.M DOES track counter tickets!! BUT, they do not track internal counter tickets. Any R.O with a G.M vin, will be looked at. Any customer pay counter ticket, will also go in the pile. As far as your outside purchases, never use a GM part number in place of an aftermarket number. Take the hit your sales/purchase loyalty an go on.

They don't count anything against me that's not on a repair order and never have. In fact, like I stated earlier, each item in the ineligible list has an RO# next to it, not a counter ticket #. They can look at them all they want but they don't end up counting it against any type of loyalty %

I'm always billing out Car-quest parts, tires, tools and other things to our own technicians on counter tickets. I think only one of our 7 techs actually has a GM vehicle so all the other stuff they buy is either aftermarket or from a different manufacturer. Dodges, Hondas, Jeeps, Saabs, VWs. We also sell keychains, remote key jackets, pen sets, hats and other stuff like that on counter tickets that have never popped up in a loyalty report

I do think they count GM parts on counter tickets towards RIM purchase loyalty though if maybe that's what you are referring to.

I stand corrected. I thought I had seen,(in writing) that all C.P sales were looked at. But in real life, R.O's are the only factor in that equation. (today anyway)

With the new qualifier of purchases vs last year, it is obvious that G.M wants you to buy buy buy. With all of said purchases, going on repair orders. :ugeek:

Don't forget, G.M is also requiring a form to be filled out, signed by the customer, that you use non-G.m parts. The corporation is covering there proverbial ass, why not do the same? If we have a customer insist on non-factory parts, we let them know upfront that there is no warranty on the repair. Also. if a G.M part is going to net a certain dollar amount, I always make sure my gross does not suffer and mark up dollars equal out.

Where is this form GM requires ? This is going to go over great with my " get an aftermarket price " loving service manager
