Only SLP parts will make second sweep

Anyone hear from their DMA that effective today only SLP parts will make the "second sweep" so from what he tells me before they were letting most parts come thru including sheet metal but now only SLP part will make it the next day anything else will be delayed so now even though both parts are in the same warehouse only a chosen few will make don't understand why they are changing another thing that we do

"Effective Thursday, September 24, 2015, a system change will be put into place which will ensure that only Service Lane Parts are included in the second sweep. For all other part numbers, the regular order cut-off will apply. If a last minute order contains both Service Lane Parts and other parts, the Service Lane Parts will be eligible for the second sweep while orders for the other parts will be processed the next day."

My question: How do we handle this second sweep? Send a second spord order at 4:30 and hope for the best? I can't wait to tell our salespeople that they'll have to verify that a part is and SLP part if they want to order it after 3pm. They used to know that they had until 5 pm to order, period.

We are also being switched from the Charlotte NC PDC (1 1/2 hours away) to Martinsburg WV (6-7 hours away). Our order cutoff is changing from 5 pm to 3pm. A double whammy.

As someone else here said, their motto should be: "We're GM. We're not happy till you're not happy."

If we ordered non SLP parts on second sweep before they would not send anything at all for the second sweep including SLP. So we always had to separate the parts orders, This will actually save us a step.

Our cut off is 2:00pm, But our techs work until 5:00, So if they diag something after about 1:30 we need time to look the part up and the advisor needs time to contact the customer and get approval and it's not SLP our (GM's) customer pays the price. Oh there's always overnight of course.
