FUEL FILL ON A CAB AND CHASsis

Postby nbeckhart23 » Thu Apr 28, 2016 4:52 pm

To the GM guys out here its been brought to my knowledge that we used to get the parts to redirect the fuel lines on a cab and chassis in the truck from gm, but now we don't and the company that puts the body on wants a ton of money for this. Do any of you know of a GM part number or possibly an after market part number or can shed any light on this?

i know we did two trucks last summer that were spec'ed as wreckers for our local towing company.

the only thing i remember seeing on the repair orders were some wire loom and some clamps, and some zip ties.

the EVAP lines we re-routed using fittings and line from our fuel line repair kit that is billed to the service department if i remember correctly.

from what i remember, both trucks left with both fuel tanks still installed. my guess is that the wrecker body supplier removed the rear tank at their facility later on.
