When you are quoting accessory add on electronic parts like remote start transmitters and cruise controls (GM) are you quoting the VCI# charge? Does it really exist? Have you ever looked at a bill from GM with the charge on it??

Okay that was more than one question but I still have another...

Do you charge your service department on the running monthly invoice when your dept gets them shop supplies?

Thanks

If it's an accessory remote start the programing is included and not charged by techline. There is an auth# included with each kit given to techline by the tech. That code overrides the charge.

Customer definitely pays for it in the cost of the kit. $$$

We have only ever charged the install time listed, thinking phone time is included, sometimes even performed by the SM if the tech is tied up.

We charge certain items directly to shop supplies, and "parts" items on a counter ticket as they go out the door!
