I had an A/C belt (12658178) picked up and cancelled (wait for it).....
14 TIMES a week or 2 ago.

Please, Please, Please, if you don't have the part then don't pick up the SPAC case. It causes me to give bad info the my service advisor/customer.

It's so bad I don't even try to pick one up anymore. We have them alert on our smart phones and as soon as they alert we check and they are already missed. Everybody just hits accept before they know if they can sell. Then when they find out they can't they cancel it. Then it goes out again and the same dealers pick them up again.

Couple years ago I had the same dealer pickup and cancel a case 3 times. when I called, they blamed it on the new guy there. Delayed us really getting the part for about a week

I had to cancel one once, on shelf, thought I was good to go. Counterman came by looked at it found box was opened and incomplete. I called SPAC within a hour of committing and they reopened the case. If it was I that did that to you I am sorry. I've never done that before. And I had a little chat with my guys about it. I look them up manually I then check the shelf, only after that do I commit it sell.

I actually made a case on the DFOAB a few months back about this, GM basically didn't care that it slowed the whole process down. I am fairly certain there are dealers using software to automatically accept as they appear. Had one dealer last week that picked up and canceled the spac case twice. I called into SPAC to complain and they said as long as they don't confirm shipping there is nothing they can do about it.

Before I tell anyone shipping information, I ALWAYS preface my remarks by stating, "According to the information supplied to me BY General Motors, but that info COULD CHANGE". Until the part actually hits the receiving area, I make NO commitments.

I word it "If GM does what they have told the dealership they will do we should have it ???" That way GM is on the hook. Hell half the time it's there screw up that screws us over anyway. I have the 1-800-gmcares number handy for ANY customer that is disappointed by the service GM provides me.
