You just can't get away from it.

You just can't get away from it.

Come listen to my story about a man named Jed… Etc., etc. Just thought I would share this little bit of humor with all you GM guys and gals. My wife is now working at a state funded work comp. insurance company. One of her fellow hires is a Polynesian man named Orlando. Orlando is the “Jed” I am talking about. This guy is a screw up from the ground up, constantly asking my wife questions that they have been e-mailed instructions on (yes they get e-mail notifications) and he will straight faced lie to her about the most worthless questions. The other day he asked what he was supposed to be doing with this series of numbered documents, a process he was taught at the beginning of hire about 7 months ago. The wife asked him “why, what have you been doing with them?” His response was “just ignoring them, I don’t know whether to review them or not”. My wife responded, “umm what do you think we are supposed to be doing here”? Yes we are supposed to be reviewing ALL documents. Remember now, this has been going on for 7 months.
Here is where the kicker comes in! In casual conversation my wife asked him where he was from and what kind of work he did before. Orlando; “Oh I used to work for GM…….. In Manila”.
JEEEEEZZZZ, you can’t even get away from the corporate morons in retirement. Enjoy your day. You just have to laugh.

They probably thought he was "Management Material" but didn't have any openings because at GM they're all managers

Unrelated but while we are talking about GM.... RIM reordered a set of spark plugs for just about all 5.3's part number 12621258. That's been the part number for years. Answer back says"0001 12621258 0008 0008 039 3730623 372 CANCEL - PART NOT YET AVAILABLE ". You just cannot make this s**t up.

i guess i was lucky when i started with GM in 1970. the car line had control over the rep's. i had one each from Cad & Pont. when they switched to a parts div rep, i had the same one from 74 thru 85 then in 87 i switched to Nissan. the biggest proplem with rep's to day is they know nothing about how to run a parts dept, this is also happening with the corporate people. all they are hiring are college educated idiots that can't even look up a part and want to tell you how to run your dept. this is why the parts div at GM is all screwed up. :o
