Collision Estimating Survey for the Electronic Parts Catalog

Collision Estimating Survey for the Electronic Parts Catalog

Postby PartScott » Fri Sep 16, 2016 4:14 pm

Anyone else see this survey in their email? Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for MPL, but knowing what I know about GM...this will probably make it worse.

To: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac Dealers
We value your feedback regarding the process your dealership uses to specify parts and estimate the cost of collision repairs. On August 1, 2016, the MyPriceLink [MPL] portal became the only price source for your collision estimates.

Answers to the survey’s six short questions will provide us with helpful information needed to plan future improvements to the Electronic Parts Catalog [EPC], the Dealer Management System [DMS] and MyPriceLink [MPL] integration.

Please take a moment to complete the survey by clicking on the link below. Thank you in advance for your time, we do value your feedback. – Thank You

It was nice how it didn't ask for any opinion of the service, just "what do you use to get your prices, and how much collision do you do." Worthless.

Not completely worthless.

There is a fill in the blank available for this question under.

Be creative with your answer, I was.

:D

5. How do you determine prices for collision parts today?

My favorite question was the presumptive, "Why do you consider yourself a loyal customer ?"

Answer: There is no loyalty involved, there is not another source for the same product/service. And I am not a loyal customer, I am a reluctant customer."

Sounds like they are, once again, fishing for ways we are adapting, only to be able to choke us out later. I gave them zero length of rope to hang me with, by sending the link to my trash basket. They could care less about our problems, and more about how we adapt to them so quickly.
