GM - "MAX QTY EXCEEDED, BALANCE CANCELLED"

Just tried to order 5 of part# 12590366 and got this answerback:

12590366 0005 0001 051 131 MAX QTY EXCEEDED, BALANCE CANCELLED

My question:
Does anyone here know somewhere on GlobalConnect to see order quantity restrictions on parts like this?
The sensible thing would be to show you this info when we check availability. Doesn't seem like too much to ask.

The restriction is ridiculous but the only way I find out is through the answerback.

You can manually put in an order of a quantity one five times (five lines of same part) using one control number and they all will ship.

Yep. It just means you have to go back in and submit a second order for 4 single lines, making more unnecessary work for all of us.
It's not a big deal. I think that's what makes it so frustrating.

The one I like is when you CSO a service lane part that is stocked at you local PDC, and they cancel it and say CSO3 only. Gotta love that GM feeling!

Right. So you CSO3 the part and they cancel THAT order.

Yep, because there is no stock available. And since it cancels any way your order it, you can't make a SPAC case for it without calling SPAC to get them to force in an order for it.
