How to post Emergency purchases in R&R

How to post Emergency purchases in R&R

Postby checkme » Thu Dec 22, 2016 4:18 pm

I have a question about posting emergency purchases in Reynolds & Reynolds. We have both Ignite and the old blue screen and I am thinking that EP's are posted when we receipt parts but I don't see where we would do that on the screen.

Can anyone give me instructions for this procedure.

Thanks

2063 enter Make, receipt date or just hit return for today, PO#, order type "E" then shipper (we skip this) then part number, Qty, Cost override if you do that, done.

Thanks possum. That takes care of manual receipts but what about when receipting parts in 2062 for parts that were ordered on repair orders.

Thanks

You can't change that in 2062, only 2041. But just curious why you would process a 2041 order as "E", we use CO, etc for 2041 orders and only use "E" on 2063 manual receipts.

Our Parts and Service Director wants us to start recording Emergency Purchases. I have to admit that we have never recorded EP's in my 40+ years in the parts department. I called R&R but the person I talked to didn't seem to know what I was talking about and said he would call me back but didn't hear back from him. From the few responses that I got on this forum I suspect that not many dealers record EP's except in 2063 manual receipts.

Thanks for the responses!

If anyone else has anything to add to this conversation please do.

Thanks
