Inventory Question

Inventory Question

Postby chevyhelp1 » Fri Mar 24, 2017 3:15 pm

I am trying to plan my Inventories after the RIM SLP cutoff for the month.
The reason being so I don't have to go back into RIM and re allocate all my parts so I can be at 90% for the month which is a pain.

I guess my question is has anyone done this?
Im thinking of doing a Inventory on the 30-31st and let the SLP reset for the following month.

Thanks hope this makes sense

you can request to have RIM shut-off during your annual inventory.

maybe for a few days before and few days after ??

I used to do this years ago, but I have found it not to be an issue recently.

Why would you want to turn rim off? I have my inventory coming up this Saturday. What would I benefit from having it "turned off"?

because if something goes wrong with the count or the posting of the count and you have many parts that go down in qty, RIM will re-order them.

some systems change the count to ZERO on all parts, then re-add them as the count sheets are posted. Other systems replace the count, and do not reset everything to ZERO. The re-setting to ZERO can be a huge problem if something goes wrong and you are not able to post your count sheets.

~ gt had that happen once

I have reynolds and reynolds. Maybe I'll give the rim help desk a call tomorrow and see what they suggest. Thanks for getting back to me gt

I do shut RIM off on Friday and have them turn it back on Monday.
But it doesn't seem to help.
I have Arkona so it does not zero out my counts.

I may try and leave RIM off for a few more days.

Because reconciling all of those part #'s is a royal pain.
It usually drops my SLP below 90% I was just trying to avoid it
