ARTICLE 1.1.19 – ADVANCED PROPULSION BATTERY ENHANCED GM CCA SERVICE WARRANTY
DESCRIPTION:
To provide continued piece of mind for our GM hybrid and electric vehicle owners, GM CCA is pleased to announce an enhancement to the GM Service Warranty on all advanced propulsion batteries. The enhanced warranty will be 3 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes 1st).
This 3 year/ 100,000 mile enhanced GM Service Warranty will apply to new or refurbished GM advanced propulsion batteries sold directly through authorized GM Dealers. This will not affect the GM OEM Battery Systems Warranty. See the vehicle owner’s manual for the GM Vehicle Battery Systems Warranty details.
Advanced Propulsion batteries are new or refurbished Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) or Lithium Ion (Li Ion) batteries used for the propulsion of the GM vehicle. They are also known as Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS) or Energy Storage Systems (ESS). In addition, one Lead Acid AGM (Pb Acid) battery is covered under this enhanced warranty. See below for a general guide of current advanced propulsion batteries covered under this enhanced warranty:
2004-2007 PHT Truck (AGM Pb Acid) Battery part number 89021957
2007-2009 Saturn VUE and AURA Green Line NiMH BAS Hybrid Battery
2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu NiMH BAS Hybrid Battery
2008-2013 Tahoe/Yukon 2 Mode NiMH Hybrid Battery
2009-2013 Silverado/Sierra 2 Mode NiMH Hybrid Battery
2009-2013 Cadillac Escalade 2 Mode NiMH Hybrid Battery 2011-2017 Chevrolet Volt Li Ion EREV Battery
2014 Cadillac ELR Li Ion EREV Battery
2012-2016 Buick Lacrosse/Regal Li Ion eAssist (BAS+) Hybrid Battery
2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco Li Ion eAssist (BAS+) Hybrid Battery
2014-2016 Chevrolet Spark EV Li Ion BEV Battery
This enhanced service warranty will also apply to all future GM advanced propulsion batteries until further notice (e.g., 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV). This enhanced warranty does not apply to ACDelco starting batteries nor small batteries (e.g., OnStar Li Ion button batteries).

Are you questioning the warranty coverage on the OEM factory hybrid battery or a replacement hybrid battery sold as parts?

For the OEM factory battery warranty refer to this:
If you have access to service workbench in Globalconnect go to service information (SI) enter your year/make/model click next then you can go into the LTG (warranty) for the applicable vehicle and search under "hybrid coverage code table" to see the factory warranty on hybrid components. Example would be document ID #2748766 for a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe.

For the hybrid battery warranty sold as a replacement part then possum is exactly right.

this would be for a parts purchase, not the original one in the vehicle
