GM GLASS

My receiving person is telling me that any time we get a windshield or back glass in, it has to be inspected by a glass company within 24hours. I know you have to report damage within that time frame, but I cannot find anywhere that a glass company has to inspect. Do any of you have an insight on this?

Inspected for damage only. Never heard of a glass company needing to look at it.

GM dealer here, we get them shipped from PPG directly thru GM. You must report damage upon receipt, there is a number to call to report it on the paperwork. Just had it happen a month ago. Actually paid us for handling on the credit.
