I am looking for any feedback for Laser Key Products 3D Elite. After reading on here, I am looking for an alternate for the BD Laser and the Ilco Futura.

We have had one here for two years now and we are very happy with the laser cut portion. I have only had one cut that messed up and that was on an aftermarket key that we will no longer cut. The side cut key feature is not as accurate for duplication but usually works when using a code cut. The best selling feature to me was that it is run by a separate tablet or computer so if there is a problem you don't have to return the whole machine for repair. Just replace the tablet or computer and your back up and running.

We ordered the 3DXtreme cutter a couple of years ago when we had all those GM lock cylinders and keys to cut. Our choice was a new head for our Barnes cutter at $1000 or a new machine from GM which I think was around $9900 at the time. The 3DXtreme was fantastic for us. It was fast and we could also cut and trace laser keys and at the time it was around $7700. The only drawback was the tracing of double sided keys was kind of sh$%y. We stopped trying to trace any double sided keys and relied on key codes. The Laser Key cutters have a cutting wheel and a milling bit for the laser cut keys. We recently upgraded to the 3DXtreme S cutter because they have improved the way you trace keys. This is the first time I have been able to get any trade in value for my old machine. It comes with a laptop or tablet which ever you prefer and you have to purchase Genericode for your key codes. We looked at the new Elite machine but decided to stay with the familiar machine with the upgraded tracing feature. Laser Key Products are more geared for the locksmith but the machine works very well for the automotive.
