GM core credits

GM core credits

Postby westside » Fri Jun 07, 2019 4:28 pm

Today I was going thru my daily parts invoices noticed was were shorted a core fascia, sent back h/lamp and fascia received credit for the lamp but not the fascia. I called hollingworth to find out why. She said Hudson ( my facing pdc ) is not scanning the fascias, she said we the we the dealer must call them and whey will issue credit while we are on the phone. number 1..I dont the time of day to call to get my credit.Number 2 the credit should be automatic with no need to call.God I hope all dealers look at their daily invoices, lets not let GM get away with this, if I wouldnt have called $75.00 richer GM would have been..$75.00 here $75.00 there adds up to be a lot

What works for me in trying to keep claims straight is to build an excel file for all returns be it core, damage claims or whatever. It makes it easier to see what hasn't cleared and reduces the chance of missing a credit due to a paperwork issue.

Just my 2 cents

I have a more archaic system. I have a "waiting for credit" folder in my desk drawer that I put all of my PC302's in. When I get credit, I pull the 302 and match it all up...if no discrepancies, it goes in the paid folder. Every few weeks, I go through the folder and make sure nothing is getting stale.

PartScott I still use that system also. That's how I match up my paperwork. It's a little extra to do the excel file. I use the excel for record keeping. Plus, we set up monthly returns as a receivable so it helps me keep a record of whats still out there.
