Ordered 4 bolts same part number overnight from 75 and did get them next day, however they shipped the 4 bolts individually to get the shipping to $51.12

Also out of 75 last week, but not OVN, we rec'd eight wiper blades of the same number, ordered as a qty of eight, and each wiper blade (GM#84613732) was boxed and shipped in a box that could easily hold 50 or 60 wiper blades. A few days ago we got a diff gasket off of backorder from 75 (GM#15807693 ??), that gasket was packed in a box48" by 24" by 5". It came FedEx Ground.

Makes me wonder if there is some push back from the employees shipping the parts ??

No pushback, they are just plain stupid (or their uncle supplies boxes to the plant).

I get parts shipped in way too big boxes all the time.

No, they're not stupid, just your typical UAW worker who doesn't like what he's doing, (it's GM's fault)
and they're getting back at "THE MAN."

Years ago, I got an explanation from the plant when I received 10 bolts in 10 individual boxes while I was fighting to get the freight charges reversed. They used to do that **** all the time.

The reason I got was the "bin location" that those bolts were in was the same location of the plant where high damage stuff was kept and the rule for that location was 1 part per box.

So yeah, they are too ****ing stupid to A) speak the **** up when they come across something like that, B) They really just don't give a ****, or C) They don't give a **** about how stupid they are.

The fact that they still do this speaks volumes

Years before that, I worked at a SAAB dealer in AZ and SAAB had recently moved their warehouse in California and hired all (or most) new workers. Our first couple stock orders arrived all in separate boxes, individually labeled with FEDEX labels.
They only did it a couple times before the new warehouse figured it out. Those orders must have cost them thousands each to ship to the dealers but the dealers weren't charged for it.
