Hybrid Battery - Customer Pay

Last week we needed a hybrid battery. Vehicle has a warranty block but that is a whole other story.

Called battery center to order and we were told we had to give them a credit card number prior to shipment. We didn't like that but we did.

Promised battery Monday, no later than Tuesday (yesterday).

Called this morning to see where battery was. Magically no stock, not sure when they will receive so battery can be built / balanced and shipped to us.

Of course we promised vehicle based on info given at time of order. Due to warranty block customer paying for his own rental. We are out of CTP/DRAC units due to all the other parts delays. GM not concerned due "non-warranty" issue. Even though warranty block likely applied by mistake (yet to be determined).

The nightmare continues ...

If it's customer pay now, why not get the battery from Dorman Products or sublet the battery rebuild/balance, most major metropolitan areas have a shop specializing in battery rebuilds.
