Not sure you are understanding this post... They are recommending that you sell parts to other dealers at trade price, you make more money and the other dealer can recoup the money from GM as a Z5000 pickup charge. It really is a win/win situation for both dealer.

I guess i didn't but we have always sold to other dealers at trade only have one that we do 10% over

The group of us local dealers sell at cost + 15

Some far out places we sell cost + 25 but I will sell +15 if asked and they reciprocate if we need something.

I have a dealer about 30 miles away that has an employee that lives here. We sometimes trade parts that way, or I sometimes travel that direction as well.

We all work pretty well with each other around here. I think that's how we've survived as well as we have since the strike started.

Derailing this thread just a bit

We used to really "trade"/ "borrow" RIM protected parts with a close by dealer to keep from purchasing it and killing our loyalty. We both just kept a list of what parts we owed each other and when RIM resupplied us, we would just give them back and vice versa.

worked flawlessly for years

I was doing this years ago with 2 or 3 close by guys I knew well. Never had a problem.
