Going back to my teenage days at Koons Ford in Falls Church VA........

In the service department, there was a dispatch tower that overlooked the shop. I also did some time in there after school. An intercom was mounted above the desk, connected to the service lane and every other stall had a station. Mechanics would call up for example "Would you please page Bob Vanover (shop forman) to stall 13? And then the fun began, the page would go out, Bob Vavover would come out of his office and the look on his face was, "What the hell does he want now"?

At some point the shop hired an apprentice that was in trade school. Not just any apprentice. This was a woman, usually had on one piece coveralls with the front zipped open just enough. We found out that she also stripped part time at Iciabods across the road. Now when a page went out for the shop foreman or service manager to the stall where she was assisting, the gut was sucked in, comb through the hair, tie straightened etc.

Eventually the wives found out and the shit hit the fan. Perry, one of the mechanics came up to the tower to use the phone and call his wife. "Honey, a few of the guys are going out for a beer after work and I......Now don't yell, but, but" You could hear her chewing his ass out, "I know where you are headed, you are going to see that wench strip"!!!

Back in time I worked at a Cadillac/Oldsmobile dealer that eventually was bought out when Oldsmobile was dropped by GM.

We had several local customers, old ladies driving their 60's Fleetwoods, Sedan de Villes etc. The local funeral home still had their 1962 Cadillac hearse. Beautiful car, the mechanic whom usually did the repairs on the antiques came in hung over one morning, he stretched out in the back to recover. Someone drove to the local florist and picked up a bouquet of flowers. We very carefully laid them on his chest while he was snoring away. A few hours later he woke up, forgot where he was, and started screaming, came busting out of that hearse like a stuck pig!!!!!!

Oh, strippers brings to mind a couple of customers who were a husband & wife stripper team! They had two decked out G-Vans complete with mini-pottys and wardrobe racks. I never got to see their act, but they were natural hotties with the cute stage names of Barbie & Ken. That was 33 years ago......wonder where they are now?

One dealership I worked for in the '90s; things got real dicey when the SM got caught in a G-Van with a SA; inside the body shop one morning. Word got back to his wife and he decided on a new career path from that point.

One October 30th was a slow day. During a break all the mechanics were standing around a heater, drinking cokes. I walked back there and told everyone here are the costumes you need to wear tomorrow, Harold is bugs bunny, Ernie is daffy duck, etc. Chris, the new kid, was tweety bird. I walked off. I didn't realize the other mechanics were laying it on thick to Chris. The next morning as I turned the corner I saw Sam doubled over in front of his truck. Chris had gotten his mom to stay up half the night making him a tweety bird costume. Best Halloween ever.
