With other powertrain that I have sold to other dealers on SPAC cases, usually the label that prints is for RXO Logistics, send them an e-mail with the required information and in no time a BOL with other necessary papers are in my in box.
With this engine, it had the choice between Fed Ex Express Freight or RXO. Never had that before. Picked Fed Ex Express Freight, it printed out the usual label like any other Fed Ex shipment, it showed Express, 2 day freight. The trouble was getting someone on the phone to schedule the pickup and understand that GM pays for the shipping. We have a Fed Ex freight terminal not far from us, sent my driver there to ask for assistance. Found out a few important tips.........
Fed Ex Freight and Fed Ex Express Freight are two different animals. There was no contact information for Fed Ex Express Freight unlike RXO. Called the Fed Ex number, it's the usual follow the prompts and get nowhere. The manager at the Freight terminal was nice enough to call the Express Freight terminal located two hours away, it took a while to get them to understand how it works.
Next time I let a powertrain part go on a SPAC case, if it gives me the choice, I am going with RXO, it's clear cut and straight to the point.
