I'm back

I'm back

Postby Richard » Tue Mar 27, 2018 4:47 pm

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back around to here. I lost me job of 24+ years early in Jan. Feb 1st I started a new job at a Nissan dealership in Montana. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it, but it's been a struggle.

Glad to be back.

Let me know if you need any help getting acclimated with Nissan.

I used to work Nissan, went to GM, and then back to Nissan, so I might be able to relate terminology and/or other things that require banging your head against something. Get ready to see more Takata air bags than you're probably used to.

With that newest mess they have dreamed up, YES. That's part of why I moved 1,700 miles to get away from GM.

But, Nissan is following in GM's footsteps with the loyality is coming up, my FOM is trying to get us to use Nissan oil citing that Nissan is working on a loyality plan similar to Nissan's.

If Nissan had a decent parts catalog, there wouldn't be any issue.....FAST is anything BUT.

Is there anyone buying Nissan Radios? I have 2 that have no core, but are Nav Radios, and 1 that I don't have a box, but has a $500 core. (I inherited a lot of stuff)

Reach out to your facing PDC RFC manager. I'm guessing those are Bosch radios somebody ordered and didn't get installed. Nissan did away with the Bosch exchange program just recently. I would simply plead your case... "I'm the new parts manager, and I'm still learning the processes, can you please take these back?" and they'll probably give you authorization and you won't lose accrual.

The one with no box might be a problem. You can reach out to the PDC manager to see if they can help with that, but that one might be harder, especially if the foam and plastic are gone as well...
