89018747 GM BLOWER MOTOR-CHECK YOUR STOCK

Bought 1 from GMCCCCCCA, bought one from local WD. Both impellers were pressed on to much so the impeller was grinding when you spun it. Great GM feeling. I called parttech and they stated there are 5 other cases of dealers complaining of the same issue.

I know this question is to logical, why don't they do something about it after the first few cases?

A little more like, too busy trying to tell you how to run your business. This is the way recalls are made (in production) somebody says "this is wrong" and somebody above them says "too bad there is no money in fixing it now".

Checked our stock, we're OK. Thanks for the heads-up.

You still need one?

Thanks for the heads up. The one we have in stock from Rim hits once per revolution when spun. 9 months no sale. Should I send it back defective or wait??

If you wait to send it back via rim return, then need one for a customer that is down in the shop, you stand a good chance of getting the same motor. If I have a customer down in the shop, I could end up with that motor. Please send it back defective.

Do you still get paid a mark-up for new defective? That used to make it worth filing a claim, and it is the right thing to do. Of course since the gENERAL knows about the problem the right thing for them to do is issue a policy return of all shelf stock with date codes to isolate and correct the situation for @OUR customers. I have been away from GM PM management for several years, (thank goodness) but I would be tempted to order at least one and have the gENERAL OVN it in from Memphis if that is where it is stocked. :D SLP please.

PS I just checked and current facing PDC has stock.
