GM DMS Integration for MyPriceLink Dealer Communication – 3.25.15
We are reaching out to request your support in contacting your DMS provider about integration with OEConnection’s MyPriceLink (and CollisionLink) solutions.
As you are likely aware, GM announced plans for MyPriceLink in 2014, which would end publishing static List Prices on collision parts to instead launch real-time List Prices. As a result of industry collaboration, MyPriceLink workflows for dealers, body shops, insurance companies and independent adjusters have been streamlined. GM and OEC have engaged industry technology resources to implement improved workflows. To implement these streamlined workflows, launch timing has been rescheduled. GM is committed to launching MyPriceLink in 2015.
GM recognizes the challenge of not having a List Price available within your DMS. GM, along with OEC, have developed a solution which will take quote related information (such as List Price, Sell Price, Part Number, Quantity, etc.) and prepopulate screens within the DMS to minimize rekeying of information, particularly when creating an invoice. Additionally, this solution allows the DMS to send finalized invoice information back to OEC to prepopulate screens needed to submit claims for reimbursement.
As a GM dealer selling Genuine GM OE parts, you have a significant interest in ensuring that your DMS provider successfully integrates with OEC.
We are asking you to reach out to your DMS provider contacts and communicate to them how important their integration with OEC is to your business. Below are key talking points to use in those conversations:
· I understand that your company was invited to a MyPriceLink integration kick-off meeting in mid-February.
· OEC has technical specs for the integration available, but at this time you have not committed to a priority timeline to complete the integration.
· With the impending implementation of MyPriceLink and GM’s removal of List Price on collision parts in the monthly price tape, it becomes very important to have integration between OEC and the provider’s system.
· Without the ability to transfer pricing information electronically, you will be significantly impacting my ability to fully leverage your system to support my business.
· As your customer, I need you to understand the significance of this integration and ask that you take the necessary action to ensure integration of your DMS with OEC.
We appreciate your support in making your feelings known to your DMS provider and look forward to a successful launch of MyPriceLink.
